This is my interpretation of a view through the Avenue of London Planes towards St John’s College. Narrow boats gliding slowly between the trees, carrying their passengers. Between the ancient trees students and tourists alike are enjoying the sunny day on Jesus Green. The painting captures the peaceful atmosphere of the park, with the majestic college buildings in the background. If you’re ever in Cambridge, a visit to Jesus Green Park is a must, and this painting is a reminder of the beauty of this tranquil spot.
