This original watercolour painting depicts a romantic and peaceful scene of a couple having a picnic with champagne in the shadow of a floating narrow boat. I think that this narrow boat moored above the couple is a unique and interesting focal point. In the background, the skyline of Cambridge with the famous King’s College Chapel is visible, adding a sense of majesty and grandeur. This painting is a reminder of the joys of spending time with the one you love in a tranquil, peaceful and sometimes – quite famous setting.

This original painting was created in my Cambridge studio using professional quality 'Schmincke' watercolours on the highest quality 'Arches' cotton paper.
